Auracast™ connects
The latest Bluetooth standard, Auracast™, transmits broadcast audio streams from a transmitter to an unlimited number of Auracast™-enabled receivers without the need to pair each device individually. Public and private organisations and institutions that operate an appropriate Auracast™ transmission infrastructure – stationary and/or mobile – can thus reach their audience with information, lectures or entertainment offerings.
Auracast™ has the potential to significantly improve inclusion for people who wear hearing aids or cochlear implant systems in terms of their perception of audio information and entertainment. Typical providers of Auracast™ infrastructure include cultural venues, opera houses and theatres, educational and transport facilities, and churches.
Auracast™ is a trademark of Bluetooth SIG.
